Davry Ratcliffe, Instructor

Originally from Columbus, Ohio. Mr. Ratcliffe began his training at Fort Hayes Performing Art MEC under the tutelage of Marva “China” White (Dance Theatre of Harlem) and Alfred Dove (Eleo Pomare) in the pre- professional program. He has created and danced in multiple productions in Ohio, became a silver certified ballroom dance professional with Fred Astaire Dance Studios, as well as performing with Dayton Contemporary Dance 2nd Company from 2010 to 2011. While getting his Business Marketing Degree from Columbus State Community College, Davry has also helped shape a non-profit company to advance professional development/ leadership and community outreach through hip hop culture (I Am D.A.N.C.E.). He has worked with renowned artists and choreographers including Ashanti, Laurieanne Gibson, Gil Dudilduo, Chris Judd, Luam and several of ABC’s “Dancing with the Stars” competitors.

Moving to Denver in 2013, Davry has slowly cultivated the ballroom scene known as Vogue. Being apart of this newly thriving culture of acceptance, performance, and the lifestyle for 14 years now, He has started traction in Denver. Known as the Over-all Mother (aka Glamm) and beginning of the ball scene in Denver, he is definitely connecting all the right dots nationally to grow this culture in Denver. Dancing in his 8th season with the Cleo Parker-Robinson Dance Ensemble and Props Master, choreographing works and teaching in the academy.

Besides dancing Davry has started his own styling business in 2020 as Twiga G LLC. Curating, directing and even modelling in his own shoots. Also looking forward to starting a charity for Appendix Cancer research and support, as well as independent free-lancing organizing business. He believes in pulling out the best in everyone’s potential and creating beyond the stars.
